As Technical Specialist, I create websites that build community in rural regions. Anyone can post information about their nonprofit, city or government organization to the online directory. Community members can share stories with local press organizations through an easy online form.
There are way more features than that, though. Click here to see the community website for the entire southern coast region of Oregon.
Each community website is supported by local teams of volunteers. These volunteers come from nonprofits, businesses and county organizations. I support these volunteers with trainings and ongoing technical support. On top of that, I also provide these services:
- Running workshops and trainings
- Ticketing support
- Video editing
- Virtual fundraising
- Search engine optimization
- Google Analytics 4 reporting
- Zoom meeting facilitation
- Research and development
- Diversity, equity and inclusion
I started work with the Community Website Partnership back in 2016. Where I lived, local nonprofits didn't have a place to share what they're doing with the greater community. And after moving there from a big city, I had a rough time finding what opportunities or services were available to me. The Community Website Partnership helps to fix both of these issues, and more. It's been a blessing to be part of the Hub Team.
